College Hill Partnership (CHP) is a non-profit organization that serves as the leader in revitalization and promotion of the College Hill area, an urban neighborhood community. The scope of its mission includes promoting healthy neighborhood businesses and housing enhancement; strengthening collaboration and pride; developing public/private partnerships; and serving as an advocate for addressing area concerns.

“The Cedar Falls Iowa College Hill area is a tree shaded and vibrant neighborhood with a healthy and diverse mix of residents, housing, businesses and gathering places. Adjacent to the University of Northern Iowa, this area boasts unique and innovative recreational, educational, retail, entertainment and cultural activities. With its diversity of residents and businesses, the College Hill area is a great place to live and a popular place to visit.”
STRUCTURE
The College Hill Partnership has representation from a number of key constituencies from the College Hill district including:
- College Hill Businesses
- College Hill Residents
- College Hill Property Owners
- The City of Cedar Falls
- The University of Northern Iowa
The College Hill Partnership is led by a board of directors. The 11 member board is elected from the district and operates all funds and programs. Underneath the board consists five critical committees that are based on the state of Iowa’s four point approach.
These committees are:
Organization/Membership: Responsible for organizational functionality including membership, organization structure, bi-laws, and other functional aspects of the organization.
Promotions: Oversees and develops all promotional material for the organization. This committee is responsible for all formal communications to the press, city, and state government.
Business Improvement: Responsible for improving the College Hill business environment.
Neighborhood Services: Responsible for planning and implementing neighborhood social programs and bringing forward concerns by the residents of the College Hill district.
Design: Responsible for setting design standards that create an environment that’s committed to a strong and diverse community.
